Our team mobilized a fundraiser to respond to the COVID-19 crisis in India, which decreased access to oxygen tanks and exacerbated food insecurity. We raised and donated $1,680 to the Hemkunt Foundation, which allowed for the provision of 237 oxygen tanks.
Satya Nutrition earned a top prize of $3,500 at the Johns Hopkins Pava Center's Spark Demo Day competition, which featured 18 teams pitching their ventures. This adds to previous grants awarded by Johns Hopkins, including the Provost's Undergraduate Research Award in 2019, and the Hopkins Office of Undergraduate Research's NOVA award in 2020.
We hosted a discussion on childhood malnutrition in South Asia with the Johns Hopkins student community, inspiring new perspectives and collaboration to raise awareness and drive efforts toward this cause.
Our team organized a fundraiser responding to the devastating floods in Pakistan, which displaced families and destructed food infrastructure. We raised and donated $1,000 to the World Food Programme's Pakistan flood relief fund.
